02/25/2007 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Anaheim Ducks will try to avoid a fourth consecutive loss tonight, when they welcome the struggling Colorado Avalanche to the Honda Center.
The Ducks are first in the Pacific Division and second in the Western Conference with 80 points, but they are 0-1-2 in their last three games.
Anaheim's most recent setback came Friday evening in Dallas to the rival Stars. Mike Smith stopped 24 shots to help Dallas earn the 4-1 win triumph over the Ducks.
Corey Perry scored the lone goal while Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 17 shots for the Ducks.
Anaheim has been strong at home all season long, going 18-5-7 at the Honda Center. However, the club has dropped three straight tilts on its home ice.
Meanwhile, the Avalanche lost for the fourth time in five games Saturday, as they dropped a shootout decision in Los Angeles. Dustin Brown scored in the sixth round of the shootout to lift Kings past Colorado, 6-5, at Staples Center.
Andrew Brunette finished with three assists while Paul Stastny added two helpers for the Avalanche. Peter Budaj allowed five goals on 39 shots in the loss for Colorado.
Stastny and Joe Sakic, who posted an assist on Saturday, have each registered points in 11 straight games. The streaks are the longest current tears in the NHL.
Colorado has won all three meetings with Ducks this season and has taken seven of the last nine encounters overall.
