02/06/2009 - (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The New Orleans Hornets hope to snap a season-high four- game skid when they welcome the Toronto Raptors to the Big Easy on Friday.
The Hornets fell to 0-2 on a four-game homestand on Wednesday, when Derrick Rose led six Chicago players in double figures with 21 points as the Bulls handled New Orleans, 107-93.
David West and Peja Stojakovic each had 24 points for New Orleans, which fell to 16-8 as the host on the year. The Hornets played without All-Star guard Chris Paul, the team's leader in points, assists and steals.
Paul suffered a groin injury in Monday's loss to Portland and is expected to miss his second straight game tonight.
West grabbed 14 rebounds as well against the Bulls, while Devin Brown contributed 17 points and seven assists in New Orleans' loss.
The Hornets will finish their residency by hosting Minnesota on Sunday.
The Raptors, meanwhile, also dropped their fourth straight game on Wednesday, when Kobe Bryant finished with 36 points and had a crucial basket and rebound in the final minute to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 115-107 win over Toronto at the Air Canada Centre.
Joey Graham scored a career-high 24 points for the Raptors and Jermaine O'Neal nearly ended up with a triple-double in the loss, posting 22 points, nine rebounds and a season-high nine blocks.
Andrea Bargnani had 21 points and nine boards for Toronto, which lost All-Star forward Chris Bosh to a sprained right knee in the fourth quarter. He had 12 points through nearly 29 minutes of action, but did not return after leaving the game. The Raptors were already playing without point guard Jose Calderon, who sat with a sore hamstring.
Images taken postgame revealed no structural damage for Bosh and he did travel with the team to New Orleans. His status for tonight's contest is doubtful, however, and he will be day-to-day for the remainder of the team's three-game road trip. Calderon is probable for tonight.
The Raptors, who are 10-17 as the visitor on the year, will also face Memphis and Minnesota on their trek.
New Orleans has taken two straight in the series, including a 99-91 triumph in Toronto on December 14.
